“The Elemals is the follow-up series to the 2010 webcomic itsjustjoshdotcom, which is available online for free at http://itsjustjosh.com. It has been described as a “Sci-Fi slice of life comic”. Read many of those lately?!
Set in the near future, itstjustjoshdotcom recounted the unfortunate (and at times, autobiographical) upbringing of our hero Josh, in a world which seemed to hand him one bad card after another.
With London flooded and his city becoming England’s backup capital, he throws a dart at a map and seeks pastures anew, craving adventure.
One plane crash, one homeland security arrest and one thorough nightclub beatdown later, The Elemals picks up exactly where itsjustjoshdotcom left off - at a job interview, with the girl who (inadvertently) got Josh beat up the night before. She denies being there, point blank…it was her, right?
The Elemals: Birth Vol 1 is gorgeously presented as a full colour, 40 page thermal bound comic.
Written and drawn by British comic artist Josh Clarke and independently published.
This is its Second Edition, with additional content, and fixes.
